Welcome!

My name is Uma and I share in Yoga as a way of life that allows for meaningful transformation.

I believe that through yogic practices one can bridge deeper levels of consciousness, empowering one’s own healing and clarity of perception. I experience this through my own practice and working with other people.

With my teaching method, you can start practicing Yoga wherever you are, whoever you are.

We all have the capacity to heal ourselves and transform our lives. No matter how unwell you may feel, or how far away Yoga as a concept or an image may seem, the potential is immense and with the right guidance, approach and sustained effort, we can all become truly well in body, mind and spirit!

I prefer to work 1-1 because I believe that yoga is especially transformative when it’s a continual process of engagement and learning. Working together means continuously progressing and refining your practice according to your changing needs to best support the refinement of your physical embodiment, emotional intelligence and clarity of perception. This is the beauty of the co-creative process of this kind of individualised 1-1 Yoga.

I began teaching Yoga in 2014. I have an accredited Yoga Therapy Diploma (C-IAYT), over 800 Hours of Yoga Therapy training, over 600 Hours of Yoga Teacher training, and fiteen years of practice.

Wherever you are, we can make it work. I work online with people all over the world. Online classes are proving to be a great success. You can save the time, money and stress of having to travel and rely on yoga studios or gyms and build a much more healthy pattern of being able to take care of yourself, on a daily basis, from within the comfort of your own time and space. All Yoga with me includes appropriate physical movements and postures (asana), conscious breathing (pranayama), meditation (dharana) and other techniques such as bandha, kriya, bhavana and mantra. I call my approach ‘Hatha Tantra Yoga’ and I am strongly influenced by Iyengar, having practiced that style for over ten years.

When you take an individualised approach to Yoga (1-1 sessions), rather than a general approach (group classes/videos), we can determine the direction and potentiality of your yoga practice based on your individual needs, desires, goals and circumstances.

Yoga Therapy further involves emotional support, life guidance and diet and lifestyle recommendations.
